Termasuk menanyakan pada dirinya, apa yang menjadi cita-citanya? Keahlian apa yang diperlukan bila seorang mahasiswa memilih karir tertentu? Apakah calon mahasiswa yang bersangkutan ingin belajar jauh dari orangntuanya? Berapa dana yang dibutuhkan? Pendeknya, ada beberapa yang yang dapat digunakan sebagai pertimbangan ketika akan memilih suatu perguruan tinggi, antara lain bidang studi, jurusan, biaya, reputasi perguruan tinggi yang bersangkutan, status akreditasi, fasilitas pendidikan yang tersedia, serta kualitas dan kuantitas dosen yang dimilikinya.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bidang Studi hal pertama yang harus diperhatikan para calon mahasiswa adalah minat yang akan berkaitan dengan bidang studi yang hendak ditekuni oleh calon mahasiswa. Untuk memilih bidang studi ini, jangan segan-segan utnuk mencari informasi termasuk kepada orangtua, teman maupun guru. Lebih baik lagi jika bertanya kepada orang telah terjun langsung ke dunia kerja di baidang yang diminatinya. Intinya adalah pastikan bahwa calon mahasiswa atau orangtua mengerti benar tentang perbedaan antara satu bidang studi dengan bidang studi yang lain, terutama bidang studi yang memiliki kemiripan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai bidang studi di perguruan tinggi, calon mahasiswa dapat memanfaatkan fasilitas Internet, melalui website-website dari perguruan tinggi yang dituju. Atau dapat juga melakukan pencarian dengan Google dan bertanya melalui mailing list.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Salah satu hal yang sangat penting lainnya adalah pertimbangan biaya kuliah. Sebaikan terlebih dahulu bicarakan dengan orang yang akan membiayai kuliah, atau telilti keadaan keuangan yang dimiliki bila akan membiayai kuliah sendiri. Sesuaikan jumlah dana yang tersedia dengan biaya kuliah di perguruan tinggi yang akan menjadi pilihannya. Buatlah rencana pembiayaan untuk melihat jumlah dana yang tersedia selama masa studi. Jangan mengandalkan pekerjaan sampingan. Pastikan bahwa dana yang dimiliki cukup untuk membiayai kuliah sampai selesai. Ada PTS yang memiliki kualitas yang tidak kalah dengan PTN. Anggapan bahwa PTN selalu lebih baik dari PTS adalah mitos belaka yang selama ini telah dipercaya oleh banyak orang. Anggapan ini muncul karena perguruan tinggi negeri umumnya memiliki sumber daya yang lebih baik, misalnya jumlah dosen yang bergelar doktor lebih banyak. Hal ini disebabkan karena pada masa yang lalu pemerintah lebih memusatkan bantuannya kepada perguruan tinggi negeri.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Masyarakat juga sering beranbggapan bahwa PTS dengan biaya pendidikan yang lebih tinggi adalah perguruan tinggi yang bermutu. Padahal ini bukanlah satu-satunya patokan. Apa pun keputusan yang diambil, hal itu menjadi titian awal yang akan menentukan nasib dan masa depan mereka.&lt;br /&gt;Persaingan masuk ke perguruan tinggi yang kian ketat, serta biaya yang sangat mahal bagi sebagian siswa menjadi persoalan yang mempersempit peluang melanjutkan pendidikan. Banyak faktor yang menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam memilih perguruan tinggi, terutama jurusan yang akan diambil.&lt;br /&gt;Bagi sebagian lulusan SMA, keputusan yang diambil tidak hanya berhenti pada perkara akan melanjutkan sekolah ke jenjang berikutnya atau tidak. Lebih jauh lagi, hal itu terkait pada keputusan untuk memilih jurusan yang akan mereka ambil.&lt;br /&gt;Program studi yang mereka pilih pada akhimya menjadi pijakan karier yang akan mereka geluti di masa depan. Jurusan yang paling banyak dipilih calon mahasiswa adalah program yang berada pada kelompok studi non-eksakta (sosial dan ekonomi). Jurusan non-eksakta rupanya banyak diminati tak hanya oleh siswa dari jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, tetapi juga siswa dari jurusan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Tercatat, sedikitnya 30 persen dari responden yang berasal dari jurusan IPA berniat untuk beralih mendalami program studi non-eksakta saat kuliah nanti.&lt;br /&gt;Jurusan ekonomi (akuntansi, manajemen, dan bisnis) menjadi bidang studi yang paling banyak diminati di kelompok ilmu non-eksakta Adapun di kelompok ilmu eksakta, jurusan teknik yang paling banyak dipilih oleh siswa eksakta. Sebagian besar responden mengaku memilih bidang studi berdasarkan passion atau minat yang sesuai dengan kemampuan mereka, sebagian lainnya memilih jurusan berdasarkan pertimbangan bidang studi yang mereka pilih memiliki prospek karier yang cerah bagi masa depan mereka.&lt;br /&gt;Meskipun demikian, ada juga sebagian kecil responden (6 persen) mengaku memilih jurusan tertentu atas permintaan atau anjuran orangtua mereka.&lt;br /&gt;Persiapan &lt;br /&gt;Jika melihat data statistik nasional yang dikelola Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional, tampak peningkatan jumlah pendaftar di perguruan tinggi, baik negeri maupun swasta. Demikian juga mahasiswa baru dan lulusan yang jumlahnya juga terus meningkat.&lt;br /&gt;Fakta semakin besarnya jumlah lulusan perguruan tinggi tentu berarti pula persaingan di dunia kerja menjadi semakin ketat. Kesadaran pelajar atas realitas tersebut tecermin dari besarnya jumlah siswa dan orangtua yang melakukan persiapan secara serius agar siswa bisa melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi idaman.&lt;br /&gt;Hasil survei menunjukkan, sebagian terbesar siswa merasa tidak cukup dengan bertumpu dan mengandalkan materi pelajaran yang telah diterima dari sekolah. Ini tecermin dari fakta, bahwa sebagian terbesar responden merasa perlu mengikuti bimbingan belajar atau kursus privat untuk mengejar materi tes masuk perguruan tinggi. Padahal, siswa-siswa tersebut sebagian berasal dari sekolah unggulan. Bahkan, sebagian berasal dari sekolah berstandar internasional yang memiliki fasilitas dan kurikulum yang lebih progresif.&lt;br /&gt;Biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk persiapan ini pun tidak sedikit. Setiap siswa mengeluarkan biaya Rp 300.000 hingga Rp 1 juta per bulan untuk bimbingan belajar atau les privat. Bahkan, ada sejumlah siswa yang sudah melakukan persiapan secara intensif sejak menginjak kelas II SMA.&lt;br /&gt;Langsung kerja &lt;br /&gt;Hasil survei memang menunjukkan, mayoritas (84 persen) responden berencana melanjutkan kuliah. Namun, pada sisi lain, tercatat 16 persen responden menyatakan diri tidak akan melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang lebih tinggi. Beragam alasan dikemukakan. Sebagian terbesar mengaku berniat langsung bekerja atau berwirausaha.&lt;br /&gt;Sementara itu, tak kurang dari 15 persen responden dengan jujur mengaku tidak punya rencana kuliah karena kendala biaya. Responden yang tidak berencana melanjutkan kuliah mayoritas berasal dari sekolah menengah, kejuruan (SMK). Tercatat sedikitnya 46 persen responden siswa SMK yang menyatakan demikian.&lt;br /&gt;Boleh jadi, ini menunjukkan sekolah kejuruan memang dipersiapkan untuk menelurkan lulusan yang siap bekerja sesuai keahlian mereka. Dengan demikian, paradigma ini yang kemudian menancap di benak para siswa SMK.&lt;br /&gt;Siswa sekolah kejuruan sejak awal dipersiapkan untuk memiliki keahlian dan siap untuk bekerja setelah lulus. Meskipun demikian, sebagian mengaku memiliki keinginan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan, tetapi terkendala masalah biaya. Melalui bisnis es krim, para mahasiswa ini mampu meraup omzet hingga Rp 80 juta per bulan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dari omzet tersebut, Mirza Akbar Andromeda dan Arum Dewi Suci bisa mendapat keuntungan bersih Rp 15 juta per bulan. Dengan menggunakan merek dagang Yogya Ice Cream, Mirza dan Arum telah memiliki 3 karyawan utama dan 250 karyawan di perusahaan mitra.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Kami memulai bisnis ini dengan modal awal Rp 29 juta," kata Mirza dalam jumpa pers, Selasa (31/8/2010).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keberhasilan dalam menciptakan peluang usaha baru dengan model distribusi kemitraan menjadi alasan utama meraih penghargaan dari PT Shell Indonesia bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Urusan Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah pada awal Agustus lalu. Mereka memperoleh hadiah berupa uang pembinaan Rp 20 juta serta pendampingan pelatihan selama dua tahun&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sebelumnya, dua mahasiswa UGM lainnya juga pernah meraih penghargaan serupa. Mereka adalah alumnus Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian UGM, Nur Kartika Indah Mayasti, yang meraih penghargaan dari usaha "Nata de Cassava" dan alumni Fakultas Pertanian, Ridho Arindiko S, dengan usaha "Minyak Goreng SAHARA".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yogya Ice Cream, ujar Mirza, didistribusikan dengan sistem kemitraan bekerja sama dengan sejumlah rumah makan. Produk es krim dengan pilihan rasa cokelat, vanila, durian, moka, dan stroberi ini tersedia di 15 cabang Jogja Chicken, 5 cabang Waroeng Steak, dan di Festival Kuliner. Sistem pemasaran secara ritel juga dilakukan dengan pembukaan outlet di 10 sekolah.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Setiap hari, Yogya Ice Cream mampu memproduksi 4.000 cup es krim dari bahan baku 240 liter susu sapi segar murni. Tiap cup es krim dijual dengan rentang harga Rp 1.500 hingga Rp 5.000. Saat ini, pesanan untuk kebutuhan Lebaran juga sudah mulai mengalir. Biasanya konsumen membeli es krim dengan ukuran satu ember untuk 200-250 cup seharga Rp 170.000&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Berbeda dengan perusahaan es krim lainnya, Mirza dan Arum juga menerima pesanan label yang dinamai sesuai merek usaha konsumen tanpa batasan minimal pemesanan. Pemerintah juga memberikan tunjangan khusus bagi anggota TNI/Polri.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pemerintah menargetkan penghasilan guru PNS golongan terendah minimal Rp2 juta per bulandi tahun 2011. Jumlah tersebut meningkat dari tunjangan tahun ini yang sebesar Rp 1,35 juta. Berbagai tunjangan bagi guru PNS dan non PNS juga disiapkan. Hal ini sesuai PP No. 41 Tahun 2009 tentang Tunjangan Profesi Guru dan Dosen, Tunjangan Khusus Guru dan Dosen, serta Tunjangan Kehormatan Profesor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Profesi guru sepertinya menjadi dambaan setiap orang di tahun mendatang. Soalnya, Pemerintah bertekad meningkatkan kualitas guru sebagai salah satu priorotas utama dalam mutu pendidikan dengan cara menargetkan penghasilan yang diterima guru PNS golongan terendah minimal Rp2 juta per bulan, dan memberikan subsidi tunjangan fungsional kepada lebih dari 440 ribu non PNS.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Pemerintah juga akan memberikan berbagai tunjangan bagi guru non PNS serta melakukan validasi data secara akurat untuk pengangkatan menjadi guru PNS,” kata Menteri Keuangan Agus Martowardojo di DPR, Selasa (31/8).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Diuraikan Agus, untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan maka tahun 2011 mendatang Pemerintah akan melakukan peningkatan kualisifikasi bagi 293 ribu guru menjadi S1/D4, penyelenggaraan sertifikasi bagi 300 ribu guru, melaksanakan Pelatihan Profesional berkelanjutan (PPB) bagi 25 ribu guru dan lebih dari 15 ribu Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sedangkan bagi guru-guru yang mendapatkan sertifikat pendidik, pada tahun 2011, Pemerintah telah mengalokasikan anggaran sebesar Rp21,6 triliun. Anggaran itu sebagai tunjangan profesi bagi lebih dari 720 ribu guru dan bagi guru yang mengajar di daerah terpencil dan tertinggal yang jumlahnya mencapai 46 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Untuk menyetarakan kesejahteraan bagi guru PNS dan non PNS, pada tahun 2011, alokasi dana untuk guru bantu atau honorer akan disiapkan sebesar Rp140,6 miliar bagi 11.955 guru. Berbagai tunjangan pun disiapkan oleh pemerintah sebagaimana diatur dalam PP No. 41 Tahun 2009.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Selain itu, Pemerintah akan memberikan tunjangan profesi bagi guru non PNS yang telah memiliki sertifikat pendidik dan tunjangan khusus kepada guru non PNS yang bertugas di daerah khusus. Guru non PNS juga akan memperoleh tunjangan fungsional sebesar Rp220 ribu per bulan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Terkait pengangkatan guru honorer menjadi PNS, Pemerintah tengah menyusun Rancangan Peraturan Pemerintah (RPP) yang mengatur tentang pengangkatan tenaga honorer yang memenuhi syarat atau tidak tertampung dalam PP No. 48 Tahun 2005 jo PP No. 43 Tahun 2007 tentang Pengangkatan Tenaga Honorer Menjadi Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tenaga guru bantu dan honorer yang telah terdata, akan diberikan Nomor Induk Tenaga Honorer (NITH) yang dikeluarkan Badan Kepegawaian Negara. Jika lulus seleksi maka tenaga guru bantu atau honorer berhak diangkat menjadi CPNS. “Saat ini pemerintah masih melakukan pengumpulan data untuk selanjutnya dilakukan verifikasi dan validasi atas keakuratan data tersebut,” ujar Agus.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tunjangan TNI&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Disamping meningkatkan kesejahteraan guru, tunjangan khusus juga diberikan kepada anggota TNI/Polri. Ketentuan ini berdasarkan Perpres No. 49 Tahun 2010 tentang Tunjangan Opersi Pengamanan Bagi Prajurit dan Tentara Nasional Indonesia dan Pegawai Negeri Sipil Yang Bertugas Dalam Operasi Pengamanan Pada Pulau-Pulau Kecil Terluar dan Wilayah Perbatasan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perpres tersebut menjabarkan besarnya tunjangan operasi pengamanan sebagai berikut; sebesar 150 persen dari gaji pokok bagi yang bertugas dan tinggal di wilayah pulau- pulau kecil terluar tanpa penduduk, sebesar 100 persen dari gaji pokok bagi yang bertugas dan tinggal di wilayah pulau – pulau kecil terluar berpenduduk, sebesar 75 persen dari gaji pokok bagi yang bertugas dan tinggal di wilayah perbatasan dan sebesar 50 persen dari gaji pokok bagi yang bertugas sesaat di wilayah udara dan laut perbatasan dan pulau-pulau kecil terluar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ketentuan itu juga terkait dengan Peraturan Menteri Pertahanan (Permenhan) No. 10 Tahun 2010. Permenhan ini menetapkan, pulau – pulau kecil terluar yang menjadi prioritas terdiri dari 12 pulau antara lain pulau Rondo, Berhala, Nipa, Dana Rote, Fani, Fanildo, Sekatung, Miangas, Marore, Marampit Batek dan Bras. Penjualan edisi ketiga dari buku berat dan tebal itu telah anjlok karena meningkatnya popularitas alternatif online, demikian menurut penerbit kamus tersebut.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sebuah tim yang terdiri dari 80 ahli kamus (lexicographers) telah mengerjakan edisi ketiga OED—dikenal sebagai OED3—selama 21 tahun terakhir. Pemilik kamus itu, Oxford University Press (OUP), mengatakan, dampak internet berarti OED3 mungkin akan tampil hanya dalam bentuk elektronik.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OED terbaru telah ada dalam bentuk online selama lebih dari satu dekade dan mendapat dua juta hits per bulan dari para pelanggan yang membayar iuran tahunan sebesar 240 poundsterling. "Pasar kamus cetak sebentar lagi menghilang, pasarnya turun puluhan persen per tahun," kata Nigel Portwood, Kepala Eksekutif OUP, kepada Sunday Times. Ketika ditanya, apakah ia berpikir edisi ketiga akan dicetak, ia berkata, "Saya berpikir tidak."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hampir sepertiga dari satu juta entri terkandung dalam versi kedua OED, yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1989, seluruhnya 28 volume. Dia mengatakan, sebagaimana dikutip Telegraph, Minggu (29/8/2010),  "Sampai enam bulan lalu saya masih berpegang pada gagasan bahwa buku cetak mungkin akan bertahan selama-lamanya. Namun sejak kemunculan iPad, saya sekarang sepenuhnya yakin sebaliknya. Buku cetak akan segera menghilang dengan kecepatan yang luar biasa. Saya punya dua OED lengkap, tetapi tidak pernah menggunakannya, saya menggunakan OED online lima atau enam kali sehari. Hal yang sama berlaku dengan banyak buku referensi saya. Buku akan menghilang, ini realitas yang tak terhindarkan."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kamus pertama dalam format yang dikenali adalah milik Samuel Johnson, yang diterbitkan tahun 1755. Model kamus Johnson tetap menjadi teks standar selama 150 tahun sampai OUP memulai proyeknya tahun 1879. OED pertama keluar dalam bentuk bagian-bagian sejak tahun 1884 dan selesai tahun 1928.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meskipun reputasinya hingga ke seluruh dunia, OED tidak pernah mencetak keuntungan. Biaya penelitian yang terus berlanjut menghabiskan beberapa juta pound setiap tahun. Disinyalir terjadi pemalsuan nilai Kartu Hasil Studi  (KHS) mahasiswa dalam pengajukan permohonan beasiswa tersebut.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Menurut polisi, dalam kasus pemalusan KHS itu pengelola kampus diduga terlibat. Kapolres Nagan Raya AKBP, Ari Soebijanto kepada &lt;em&gt;Serambi Indonesia&lt;/em&gt;, mengatakan, 20 berkas itu dipalsukan dengan cara di-&lt;em&gt;scan &lt;/em&gt;untuk mengubah nilai asli dengan nilai palsu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Disebutkan pula, tanda tangan pihak kampus (bidang pengajaran) diduga ikut dipalsukan oleh pelaku dengan cara di-&lt;em&gt;scan &lt;/em&gt;untuk memuluskan mendapatkan beasiswa dari Pemkab Nagan Raya.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Uniknya,  lanjut Ari, dalam mengeluarkan berkas nilai KHS palsu tersebut, pihak  akademik pada sebuah perguruan tinggi di Nagan Raya ikut terlibat.  Pasalnya, untuk mengeluarkan surat keterangan nilai dipastikan adanya  unsur kerjasama antara mahasiswa dengan pihak akademik sehingga nilai  mahasiswa itu bisa dipalsukan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pelaku yang diduga kuat ikut  terlibat dalam kasus itu, kata Ari, sejauh ini belum dipanggil karena  polisi masih menelusuri berkas mereka yang tidak sesuai aslinya. Polisi  juga akan menelusuri lokasi pemalsuan surat tersebut. Saat itu, Rektor didampingi Ketua Yayasan.&lt;/span&gt;                       &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;font-size:85%;"&gt;Kasus pemalsuan                       nilai itu terbongkar ketika ada seorang dosen yang                       mengetahui mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Kimia yang belum lulus                       kerja praktikum ikut diyudisium yang digelar tgl 23                       November lalu. Kemudian, mahasiswa yang seharusnya tidak                       diperbolehkan ikut yudisium bersama 31 mahasiswa Teknik                       Kimia lainnya dilaporkan kepada Pembantu Rektor (PR) I.&lt;/span&gt;                       &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;font-size:85%;"&gt;Karena curiga, PR I                       memerintahkan Kejur Teknik Kimia yang dijabat Ir. A untuk                       memeriksa kembali persyaratan yudisium. Setelah dicek, ada                       tujuh mahasiswa yang tidak beres. Namun akhirnya, hanya                       enam mahasiswa yang dibatalkan kelulusannya. Sedangkan                       satu mahasiswa mengikuti ujian susulan perbaikan dan                       dinyatakan lulus.&lt;/span&gt;                       &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;font-size:85%;"&gt;Setelah diselidiki,                       ternyata kasus jual-beli nilai itu dilakukan oleh staf                       administrasi jurusan Teknik Kimia berinisial N.                       Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh Bali Post, N yang                       sudah dimutasi pada bagian staf PR II sejak 11 November                       lalu itu mempermainkan nilai dengan menjual nilai dengan                       harga Rp 1 juta untuk semua pelajaran dalam satu semester.                       Menurut S, berdasarkan hasil keputusan rapat senat                       institut, akhirnya diputuskan agar Rektor memecat                       staf yang berinisial N. Putusan lain, Kejur Teknik Kimia                       yang dijabat Ir A dicopot kemudian dirangkap oleh Dekan                       Teknik Industri.&lt;/span&gt;                       &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;font-size:85%;"&gt;Tidak hanya itu,                       keenam mahasiswa yang menyogok N agar menaikkan nilai juga                       diberi sanksi skorsing selama 2-3 semester (1-1,5 tahun)                       tidak boleh mengikuti kuliah. Micro Teaching terutama difungsikan untuk melatih skill individual calon pengajar dalam memberikan materi.&lt;br /&gt;Laboratorium microteaching FKIP-UNIRA memiliki fasillitas 3 Ruang yang berfungsi sebagai :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a) Ruang Demonstrasi Siswa / Ruang Praktikum Pembelajaran di Kelas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            Ruang Demonstrasi Adalah suatu ruangan kedap suara dengan kaca tidak tembus                         pandang yang dipergunakan oleh siswa dalam mempraktikan keilmuannya&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            Ruangan tersebut berisi camera ccd dan perlengkapan audio visual yang dapat                                 mendukung proses praktikum.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;b) Ruang Operator / Ruang Pengolah data Interaktif praktikum siswa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;            Ruang Operator / Ruang Pengendali Adalah suatu ruangan yang didesain khusus sebagai             pusat tekhnologi dalam pengendalian / pengolahan secara tekhnis, data hasil studi                         pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh siswa di ruang demontrasi-. Segala kebutuhan                             tekhnologi dalam pengolahan data mulai dari Recording, Editing, Labeling dan Finishing                 video dan suara dari mahasiswa yang sedang melaksanakan praktikum  dapat di                             UpGrade.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;                Hasil dari praktikum dapat langsung di putar ulang, dievaluasi dan di dokumentasikan                 dalam bentuk video cd serta dibagikan kepada tiap mahasiswa yang melaksanakan                         praktikum.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Hal itu sangat membantu mahasiswa karena proses pembelajaran di masa mendatang banyak memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rektor Unnes Prof Dr H Sudjiono Sastroatmodjo MSi mengungkapkan hal itu usai menandatangani perjanjian kerja sama dengan Bank Mandiri di Borobudur International Golf and Country Club (BIGCC), Kota Magelang, kemarin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Menurut dia, kegiatan belajar mahasiswa kini tidak lepas dari teknologi informasi. Berbagai tugas kampus dan keperluan surat menyurat di kampus hingga bimbingan skripsi, kini tak perlu repot-repot menggunakan setumpuk kertas. Efisiensi penggunaan kertas juga merupakan bagian dari aksi cinta lingkungan, karena secara langsung berdampak pada perilaku hidup yang ramah lingkungan. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Di masa mendatang, model komunikasi dan proses pembelajaran di kampus tak banyak menggunakan kertas.                                                    *Madura University&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;        ABSTRACT&lt;br /&gt;The main objective of this study was intended to describe the phenomenon &lt;br /&gt;obtained by L2 learners in improving their listening skill by listening games. &lt;br /&gt;The specific objectives of this study were: (1) How listening games were &lt;br /&gt;applied by the lecturer  in teaching learning process of listening; (2) whether&lt;br /&gt; listening games could improve the students’ listening skill; (3) which type &lt;br /&gt;of game the students like most in teaching learning process of listening. The &lt;br /&gt;data were taken 25 university students by using test, observation, &lt;br /&gt;questionnaire, documentation, and interview. After the data were analyzed,&lt;br /&gt;it was known that There was a significant increase of mean score from &lt;br /&gt;4.52 for students' pre-test to 7.44 for the students' post-test. By &lt;br /&gt;using percentage, it was known that there were 9 students (36%) could&lt;br /&gt;pass the criteria of success.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Key Words: Improving, listening skill, listening games.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;INTRODUCTION&lt;br /&gt;There are four skills in English that should be mastered by the students who are studying English. One of the skills is listening. Listening is anything but a passive activity. It is a complex, active process in which the listener must discriminate between sounds, understand vocabulary and grammatical structures, interpret stress and intonation, retain what was gathered in all of the above, and interpret it within the immediate as well as the larger sociocultural context of the utterance. Co-ordinating all of this involves a great deal of mental activity on the part of the listener. Listening is hard work, and deserves more analysis and support. Therefore, most Indonesian students admit that listening subject is the most difficult subject among the others. In line with the statement above, once Dalton (2007) in a workshop for English teachers and students in Pamekasan stated that the big problem in Indonesia is most Indonesians are lazy to listen.&lt;br /&gt;Listening comprehension as a separate and important component of language learning only came into focus after significant debate about its validity. Recent research has demonstrated the critical role of language input in language  learning ( Dunkel et.al, 1991). This has led Dunkel to confirm that listening skill should be possessed by those who are involved in language learning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As mentioned above, it is now generally known that listening skill plays a key role in facilitating, language learning. According to Gary (1975), giving pre-eminence to listening comprehen¬sion, particularly in the early stages of second language teaching or  learning, provides advantages of four different types: cognitive,&lt;br /&gt;efficiency, utility. and affective. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;In accordance with the explanation above, it tends the usefulness of the receptive skill, or the utility advantage. Research has demonstrated that adults spend 40¬50% of communication time listening. 25-30% speaking, 11-16% reading, and about 9% writing (Rivers in Gilman and Moody, 1984: 331). It follows that language learners will make greater use of comprehension skills. Whereas speakers can, at their own pace, use paralinguistics and other communication strategies to maintain commu¬nication, listeners must adjust to the speaker's tempo and active vocabulary. This is probably the most important reason for teaching listening comprehension strategies, and provides the rationale for the continued inclusion of listening activities throughout a language program, even at advanced levels.&lt;br /&gt;The final advantage of an emphasis on listening comprehension is the psychological advantage. Without the pressure of early oral production there is less potential embarrassment about producing sounds that are difficult to master. especially for adults and teenagers. Once this pressure is eliminated, they can relax and focus on developing the listening skill, and on internalizing the rules which will facilitate the emergence of the other skills. Moreover, listening comprehension results in earlier achievement and a sense of success. The student has greater motivation to continue learning; as one student commented to Rubin (1988: 1):  I like this (exercise). It makes me feel smart.&lt;br /&gt;Hence, listening comprehension is a highly integrative skill. It plays an important role in the process of language learning/acquisition, facilitating the emergence of other language skills. For these reasons, an awareness and deployment of effective listening comprehension strategies can help students capitalize on the language input they are receiving. One of the strategies is applying games in listening teaching process.&lt;br /&gt;Games not only function as time filling activities but also bring some educational values. Lee (1979:2) stated that most language games make learners use the language instead of thinking about learning the correct form. Besides, games should be treated as a central not peripheral to the foreign language teaching program. Even, Steinberg (1988:ix) emphasized that games are a viable method to achieve many educational objectives such as reinforcement, review, reward, relax, inhibition reduction, attentiveness, retention, and motivation. This implied that any English teacher or lecturer should know and master the skill of using language games in his or her class.&lt;br /&gt;Then, Richard and Amato (1988:14) believed that games could be fun. They can lower anxiety. They can add diversion to the regular classroom activities, break the ice, and introduce new ideas. Hansen (1994:118) asserted that they can innovate, and entertain. They can also give shy students more opportunity to express their opinion and feelings. They also enable learners to acquire new experiences within a foreign language. Furthermore, Zdybiewska (1994:6) supported that games can become a good way of practicing language, because they provide a model of what learners will use the language for in real life in the future.&lt;br /&gt;In line with the explanation above, Dalton et.al (2009:20-32) confirmed that there are twenty games which can be applied in teaching learning process of listening, they are as follows: (1) tic-tac-toe, (2) how many things can you think of that….?, (3) Chinese whispers, (4) backs to the board, (5) four corners, (6) brainstorming vocabulary, (7) crossword and word search, (8) word snake, (9) oral cloze, (10) who ,where, and what?, (11) oral reading, (12) choral reading or speaking, (13) interrupting the story, (14) tongue twisters, (15) chain story, (16) running dictation, (17) bingo, (18) translation on the wall, (19) translation on the wall-groups, and (20) find your partner.&lt;br /&gt; The main objective of this study was intended to describe the phenomenon obtained by L2 learners in improving their listening skill by listening games. The specific objectives of this study were: (1) How listening games were applied by the lecturer  in teaching learning process of listening; (2) whether listening games could improve the students’ listening skill; (3) which type of game the students like most in teaching learning process of listening.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;RESEARCH METHOD&lt;br /&gt; The research was purposed to investigate the students’ listening achievement after  being taught by listening games. Based on the purpose of the research, the research design was Classroom Action Research. In conducting the classroom action research, the researcher  used Kempis and Mc Taggart’s model (1982, in water-Adam,2004). Theoretically this model includes some amount of cycle as many as a researcher needs. Each cycle usually has several phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In this research, there is only one cycle because criteria of success can be achieved in one cycle.&lt;br /&gt; In conducting research, the researcher applied listening games in teaching listening and the action will be observed at the same time.&lt;br /&gt; The action research began as soon as possible after the problems were identified and defined. Planning to solve the problem and preparing the action were made. The next step was doing the action based on the planning and preparation which had been made. The observation was done at the time with the action. Based on the observation, the researcher made reflection to what had happened and evaluated the result of the action.&lt;br /&gt; The first action that was done by the observer before starting the cycle was conducting a pre-test. The objective  of  this test was to measure the students’ listening competence. The test was done on Monday, November 14, 2009. Thirty  students  joined this pre-test.  The students  dealt with missing words and multiple choice questions in which they  answered the question based on what they listened.&lt;br /&gt; The subjects of the research were the first semester students of English Department (class A) of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Madura University in academic year  2009/2010. This class consisted of 30 students.&lt;br /&gt; Preliminary study was carried to define the real problems in listening. It was done before the researcher began the action research to know what problems were really existing during the teaching learning process of listening.&lt;br /&gt; The procedures of collecting data used in this research described as follows: There was one cycle conducted by the researcher. There were four meetings in his cycle, meeting I, meeting II, meeting III, and meeting IV. The cycle has four phases: planning, action, observation, and reflection. In meeting I, the students were taught listening by using Chinese Whispers game. In meeting II, the students were taught listening by using Running Dictation game. In meeting III, the students was taught listening by using Who, Where and What game. In meeting IV, the students was taught listening by using Tic-Tac-Toe game. In every meeting the students played the game as what the lecturer instructed.&lt;br /&gt; To obtain data as complete and valid as possible, the researcher used instruments or devices for recording, measuring or controlling data being searched. The instruments which were used:1) Observation sheet. It was to observe the process happening during the action and to note the classroom events. Observation was intended to know whether the action in line with the planning used in the teaching learning process. The researcher was non-participant observation. He  observed the subjects of the study without taking active part in the situation. The observation sheet used is a check list. The check list is to check if the implementation of the listening games is done and effective in the class. 2) Test. It is used to measure the students’ listening skill. The result of the test is compared with the criteria of success to know whether the students get improvement in listening. 3) Questionnaire. It is to know the lecturer’s opinion and students’ response related to listening learning through listening games. To gain the data, the researcher used the questionnaire items addressed to the students and  teacher as the subjects of the action research. 4) Documentation. The researcher used documentation such as a syllabus and listening materials. 5) Interview guide. The goal of interview was to explore the students’ view deeply in improving listening skill by listening games to the first semester students of English Department of Teacher and Training education Faculty of Madura University in academic year 2009/2010. &lt;br /&gt;The researcher needed valid data. Validity refers to the essential truthfulness of the data. With valid data the researcher confirmed that the data actually measured and reflected the specific phenomenon claimed. The data sources were paper, person or place. In this research the data were collected by the researcher himself. The data consisted of score of questionnaire of the  instruction model, score of the students’ listening test and result of interview, transcription of lecturer’s instruction and students’ listening.&lt;br /&gt; Data analysis was an essential aspect in research. Data analysis was the process of looking at and summarizing data with the intent to extract useful information and develop conclusion (Wikipedia,2008).  In accordance with data analysis, Bryman in Brannen (1992:75) stated that Quantitative and qualitative research have distinctive characteristics that make the possibility of combining them. Here there were two types of the data: quantitative data (numerical data) and qualitative data (non-numerical data). The numerical data were obtained from score of questionnaire and the students’ test and non-numerical data were collected through interview.&lt;br /&gt; The researcher analyzed the qualitative data descriptively. In analyzing the quantitative data the researcher applied statistical method. To analyze the questionnaire’s answer, he used Guttmann Scale. “Yes”  answer scores 1 and “no” scores 0 (Riduwan,2003:17). Each item in questionnaire was counted using the following formula:&lt;br /&gt; %S = 1 x Y x 100%&lt;br /&gt;           1 x N&lt;br /&gt; % S = percentage of score&lt;br /&gt; Y     = number students who answer “yes”&lt;br /&gt; N     = total number&lt;br /&gt; Then the researcher compared the percentage to the criteria of interpretation score as displayed below:&lt;br /&gt; 0% - 19% is dislike it very much.&lt;br /&gt; 20% - 39% is dislike it&lt;br /&gt; 40% - 59% is so and so&lt;br /&gt; 60% - 79% is like it&lt;br /&gt; 80% - 100% is like it very much&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;FINDING AND DISCUSSION&lt;br /&gt;This part present the findings and discussion of the action research on listening games s, interview in improving the students’ listening skill. The findings of the actions were based on the result of the observation sheet, interviews, questionaire and the documentations of the  students’ score for one cycle.&lt;br /&gt; The first action that was done by the observer before starting the cycle was conducting a pre-test. The objective of this test was to measure the students’ listening competence. This test was done on Saturday, November 14, 2009. Twenty five students joined this pre-test. Students took listening test individually. It was about10 minutes. In addition to this quantitative data, the result of free interview with the students when they were asked whether the listening was difficu1t, some of them answered "yes" because listening in some cases make the students’ ears difficult to capture the information based on a dialogue or a recording. The students did not listen to the whole conversation but word by word. They left some information if the dialogue ran fast. They were not familiar with difficult words, idioms, and phrases that they never heard before. Moreover, they were lazy to listen. In other words, they were not interested  in getting involved in listening because there had been prejudice that listening is the most difficult and boring subject.&lt;br /&gt;Findings of Cycle. This part presents the planning, the implementation, observation and the reflection. Before doing the action to the first semester students of English Department of Madura University, the lecturer designed the lesson plan. Rubin and Thompson (1994) stated that in order to attract the students' attention in the classroom, it was important for a teacher to use a lesson plan. The lesson plan was made in order to help the teacher to identify the students’ need. preference, and also to motivate them to learn. The lesson plan was arranged and developed based on the fist semester program. It covered deciding topic, the objective, the steps of teaching learning process, and choosing media.&lt;br /&gt;The Implementation, the action of the cycle was done in class A, the first semester students of English Department of Madura University. It was done on Saturday, November 14, 2009. The action of cycle consisted of four phases, i.e. ( 1) Planning, (2) Implementation/ action, (3)Observation, and (4)Reflection.&lt;br /&gt;Meeting I was conducted on Sunday, November 15, 2009. The students were expected to improve their listening skill using Chinese Whispers game. The lecturer divided the class into manageable groups. 6 or 7 students per group is ideal. He gave one student in each group a piece of paper with a sentence on it. The student had to read the sentence, put down the paper and whisper the sentence to the second student. The second student had to whisper it to the third student, and so on down the line.  The last student either said the sentence as they heard it or wrote it on the board. Each group then checked their sentence against the original. The winning group was the one which had the same or closest version of the original.&lt;br /&gt;  Meeting II was conducted on Monday, November 16, 2009. The lecturer taught listening using Running Dictation Game. The lecturer prepared a short passage or dialogue and made several copies. Then he put the copies up around the walls of the classroom. the students were divided into four groups. the groups played the game at the same time. One of the students in each group had to walk or run to read the text on the wall. The student memorized some of the text and ran back to his/her own  group. The student quietly dictated what he/she remembered to his/her group, one who wrote it down. Then the next student of each group ran to the text on the wall, read and memorized some and ran back to the group. Over several runs each group would build the whole passage. Each student really had to run back and forth because a student might only remember three or four words at a time. The winning group was the one that finished first and most accurately. If there were mistakes, one of each group had to keep returning to the text on the wall to check.&lt;br /&gt;Meeting III was conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2009. The students were taught using Who, Where and What game. The lecturer provided some cards with the names of person, place, or thing. The student were divided into groups of six or seven. Each group chose one of the students to be the leader. Then he asked a group to come forward. The leader stood up in front of the class while facing his/her members. The  lecturer gave him a card with 4 words. The leader had to describe each of word one by one. Whereas the members tried to guess what it was, where it was, or who it was. The winning group was one which could guess the hidden words the most.&lt;br /&gt; Meeting IV was conducted on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The lecturer taught the students using Tic-tac-toe game. He divided the class into two teams – A and B. Then he drew two grids. One grid consisted of nine squares. Each square had a hidden word or phrase. The lecturer described each word or phrase. Each group tried to guess it. The other one was left for scoring. As each team got an answer right he wrote their team letter in the corresponding box. If the letter had formed a line horizontally or diagonally, it meant the group was the winner.&lt;br /&gt;Generally, the implementation of listening games in teaching listening in cycle I could improve the students' listening skill. The data obtained were from the result of the interview with English listening lecturer and the students, observation sheet, questionnaire, listening test and documentation.&lt;br /&gt;From the observation sheet and documentation, it showed that the lecturer was quite good (80%) and he was ready to do the teaching and learning process. The lecturer did all the steps/ activities in teaching learning process of listening starting from preparing lesson plan as well as doing pre-listening activities. while-listening activities and post- listening activities.&lt;br /&gt;While from the preliminary study. it was found that  the students' score were less than the criteria of success (7. 5). Eight students got 6, 15 students got 5, and 2 students got 4. But the students' result of test after they were taught using listening games showed that 36 % (9) the students got scores passing the criteria of success.&lt;br /&gt;In order to obtain the lecturer response related to the implementation of listening games in teaching learning process of listening, the researcher tried to get more information about it by conducting interview with the English listening lecturer. The result of interview showed that the lecturer gave good responses toward the implementation of listening game. He proposed to apply better to help students increase their listening ability. He said that listening games could arise their spirit and motivation to get involved in listening class.&lt;br /&gt;The Result of interview with some students before the implementation of listening games showed that studying listening was boring and not interesting for the students. They thought that listening was difficult to practice. They admitted that they couldn’t listen to English well because of their laziness in listening to English.&lt;br /&gt;Meanwhile the result of the students' questionnaire toward the implementation of the listening games can be described as follows: 8 students (32 %) were interested in the listening games because each game invited the students to compete each other. 6 students (24%) were very interested very much in playing the listening games that could make them listen better. 5 students ( 20%) were interested in the listening games because there was challenge in each game.6 students (24% ) liked listening games because the games could increase their motivation to improve their own listening skill. Moreover, the students stated the game they liked most. 10 students (40% ) liked Chinese Whisper game because they admitted that it was the most enjoyable and challenging game among the others. While 15 (60%) students really liked Running Dictation game because it needed the speed of memorizing, listening, and writing. In addition, it needed an accuracy in writing what the writer had listened from his friend.&lt;br /&gt; Post-test was done on Thursday, November 19 2009. Twenty five students joined the post-test. The test consisted of two parts. Part A was multiple choice and part B was missing word. The aim of giving a post-test was to know the improvement of the students' listening skill. The average score of the post test as presented below was 7, 44. This mean score was better than the pre-test (4,52). It was obviously seen that the scores gained in post-test were higher than the pre-test. There were 9 students (36%) who passed the criteria of success. The mean also increased from 4.52 to 7.44. Theoretically, the students' improvement in listening could be seen as language acquisition through practicing language. They learned by listening to everything related to English such as song, poem, dialogue, news, etc. and tried to express what they had heard by telling it to the other, or making a note on their own diary. More enjoyable in listening could make the students enable to increase their capability in listening. By the time, finally the students could acquire listening games that their teacher had introduced to them. This was what we called learning by playing. In fact game is not only loved by children and teenagers but also university students.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CONCLUSION&lt;br /&gt;Based on the research findings obtained from the instruments of research, the researcher comes to the following conclusions: First, the use of listening games had positive impacts on the students' listening skill. There was a significant increase of mean score from 4.52 for students' pre-test to 7.44 for the students' post-test. There were 9 students (36%) could pass the criteria of success.&lt;br /&gt;Second, from the observation and documentation, the researcher knew that the listening  teacher and the students did all the teaching learning process of listening starting from the preparing Lesson Plan, doing pre- listening activities, main- listening activities and post- listening activities.&lt;br /&gt;Third, from the free interviews with the teacher and students, the researcher got the answers stating that they respond positively to the implementation of the listening games. According to them, the technique was attractive, challenging, joyful and helpful to practice their listening skill.&lt;br /&gt;Fourth, from the questionnaire, the result showed that 25 students (100%) answered that listening games was very interesting because they were challenging, competitive, enjoyable, and helpful in increasing the students’ motivation to practice listening skill better. Besides, the students stated the game they liked most. 10 students (40% ) liked Chinese Whisper game because they admitted that it was the most enjoyable and challenging game among the others. While 15 (60%) students really liked Running Dictation game because it needed the speed of memorizing, listening, and writing. In addition, it needed an accuracy in writing what the writer had listened from his friend.&lt;br /&gt;Based on the above conclusions, the researcher proposes that the listening lecturers or English  teachers who are teaching listening should apply the listening games to help the students increase their listening skill. type='text'>Internet bisa membuat anak malas membaca</title><content type='html'>DAVOS, KOMPAS.com - Saat data begitu melimpah di internet, informasi apapun tersedia dan bisa diperoleh dengan mudah. Namun, kecanggihan teknologi internet yang mengalami booming dalam satu dekade terakhir ini juga dikhawatirkan bisa berdampak buruk khususnya bagi anak-anak dan generasi mendatang. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eric Schmidt, sebagai CEO Google, salah satu perusahaan internet terbesar, adalah salah satu orang yang juga mengkhawatirkannya. Hal tersebut diungkapkannya dalam World Economic Forum di Davos, Swiss belum lama ini.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ia mengatakan anak-anak yang lahir dan tumbuh di era informasi instan seperti sekarang ini mungkin mengalami masalah untuk melakukan deep reading atau membaca secara mendalam. Menurutnya, informasi instan yang bisa didapat dari layar komputer bahkan ponsel mungkin bisa berpengaruh terhadap kognitif dan kemampuan membaca.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Di saat seluruh dunia bisa dilihat dari perangkat instan seperti itu, Anda menghabiskan waktu lebih sedikit untuk membaca segala bentuk literatur, buku, majalah, dan sejenisnya," ujarnya, Jumat (29/1/2010) seperti dilansir AFP.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Meskipun demikian, Schmidt tak terlalu mengkhawatirkan dampak perangkat game bagi anak-anak. Bahkan, menurutnya, banyak bukti bahwa game bisa meningkatkan daya pikir, kemampuan mengambil keputusan, dan ketrampilan koordinasi mata dan tangan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kekhawatiran Schmidt tersebut mungkin dijawab dengan berkembangnya akses e-book dengan diluncurkannya Kindle, Sony e-Reader, dan terakhir iPad. Begitu indah susun kata dan rangkai kalimat itu, sehingga membuat diriku terpana. Setelah kunikmati dan kukaji dalam-dalam susun kata dan rangkai kalimat itu, barulah aku sadar dan mengerti siapa diri ini sebenarnya. Emas tak setara dengan loyang, benang tak sebangsa dengan sutra, begitulah ratap iba ahli syair. Memang, aku adalah seorang anak manusia papa, papa segala-galanya. Akulah, “esebbhit tada’ monyina, eobbhar tada’ bauna”.¬¬¬¬¬1  ¬¬¬Dan aku tiada habis pikir, sejak kecil aku dalam keadaan papa dan leta. Entah sampai kapan kepapaan itu akan setia menemani diriku! Hanya Allah yang Maha Tahu!&lt;br /&gt;Aku senantiasa berucap syukur Alhamdulillah, karena dalam keletaan diri, Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala telah memberikan anugrah tiada tara, menanamkan rasa cinta padamu di relung hatiku yang paling dalam. Cintaku padamu bukanlah mencintai tubuhmu dan kemolekan bentuk badanmu, tetapi jiwakulah yang mencintai jiwamu. Cintaku padamu, bukanlah cinta dukana! Kecintanku padamu bukan karena kau orang bermartabat di mata masyarakat! Bukan karena jas safari dan sepatumu. Bukan karena semua itu! Akal yang selama ini tertetup dengan apa yang bisa diraba dan dirasakan, yang kukira itu kenyataan, ternyata semua itu hanyalah fatamurgana dan kamoflase belaka. Kukira kau mawar, ternyata kau sekuntum edelweis yang hanya tumbuh di puncak ancala. Kuduga kau kasatmata, kucapai dengan meraba, nyatanya kau maya, datang menyapaku bagai pewana4, dan sesekali kau datang dan pergi bagai kabut, sehingga hatiku selalu mengigau:&lt;br /&gt;aku sadar, hadirmu dalam patahan hidupku&lt;br /&gt;seperti gerimis membasah tanah gersang&lt;br /&gt;ingatanku bercengkrama denganmu &lt;br /&gt;di padang kerontang&lt;br /&gt;perasaanku sebisu karang&lt;br /&gt;melukis fajar&lt;br /&gt;membelai senja&lt;br /&gt;jadi nyanyian ombak: di mana angin&lt;br /&gt;pernah menyejukkan&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;gelap malam cahayamu membentang&lt;br /&gt;langkahku tertatih &lt;br /&gt;hasratku tak sempat kaubaca&lt;br /&gt;karena kau tak mengundangku&lt;br /&gt;asaku melesat menikam burung-burung&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;di senja nurani februari yang rapuh&lt;br /&gt;kutulis segala yang membentang di pelupuk mata:&lt;br /&gt;jas safari, dasi, sepatu lusuh, sandal jepit&lt;br /&gt;mungkin kau pernah merenung, mengimpikan &lt;br /&gt;kebahagian abadi, igaumu&lt;br /&gt;mematahkan kelopak mawar&lt;br /&gt; ---karena persemaian yang usang&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;senyummu meruncing di ujung gerimis&lt;br /&gt;resahmu segalau ombak&lt;br /&gt;tertegun, menatap bayang&lt;br /&gt;karena tak sempat lagi berucap&lt;br /&gt;pada malam resahku yang kesekian&lt;br /&gt;tawamu jauh mengalun&lt;br /&gt;mengalun di detak awan&lt;br /&gt;kau tawarkan dan segera melenggang&lt;br /&gt;seperti penari di atas panggung&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Walaupun demikian, cintaku padamu takkan lekang di panas, takkan lapuk di hujan, karena aku sadar bahwa diriku telah menitipkan separuh hatiku padamu! Hanya padamu! Namamu dan rasa cinta padamu, Insya Allah senantiasa tumbuh subur dan abadi sepanjang masa, kubawa sampai ke pekuburan. Maafkan aku! Aku takkan pernah mengakhiri mencintaimu, walaupun kau akan mencaci dan membenci sepanjang hidupmu. Dan biarlah semua orang mencibirku, tak terkecuali dirimu, bahwa diriku seperti Majnun yang hangus terbakar karena cintanya kepada Laila. Biarlah semua itu menjadi sisi terindah dalam sisa hembusan nafasku. Hanya saja perlu kau tanamkan dalam hatimu; bahwa diriku telah kau kubur tanpa nisan di pusara awan. Pintaku padamu, kuburkanlah pula diriku dalam merdu alun senyummu, agar sempurna keletaan dan kepapaan ini! Mengapa ia bisa bilang begitu? Bagaimana cara tawa menyembuhkan penyakit?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1.    Tawa itu meringankan rasa khawatir. Sebab, seseorang tidak dapat tertawa dan merasa takut secara bersamaan. Secara fisik itu tidak mungkin. Tawa juga mengecilkan sumber dan ukuran rasa takut kita.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2.    Tawa mengurangi rasa ingin sendiri. Sebab, tawa membuat kita ingin bersosialisasi dengan orang lain dan meringankan rasa kesendirian.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3.    Tawa mengurangi agresi dan konflik. Orang yang tertawa tidak dapat berbuat kasar pada orang lain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4.    Sistem kekebalan tubuh jadi lebih kuat dengan tertawa, kadar hormon stres pun berkurang, jantung dan sistem peredaran darah lebih sehat, serta otot menjadi lebih rileks. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5.    Tertawa adalah sumber latihan jantung yang sehat, khususnya bagi orang yang telah berusia lanjut. Selain itu, tertawa juga akan membuat pola napas khusus yang baik bagi kesehatan organ-organ pernapasan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6.    Tawa bekerja seperti virus karena menyebar dengan cepat. Menyebarkannya ke seluruh dunia akan mengurangi kemarahan dan kekerasan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7.    Kesehatan mental kita menjadi lebih baik dengan tertawa. Stres berkurang, begitu pula rasa marah dan khawatir. Namun, rasa bahagia dan sikap positif meningkat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8.    Kita menjadi lebih kreatif dan mampu memecahkan masalah karena tertawa. Kepuasan kerja pun meningkat. Kita dapat bekerja lebih keras, tetapi merasa nyaman. Singkatnya, produktivitas meningkat.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9.    Semua orang bisa tertawa. Manusia dilahirkan dengan bakat untuk tertawa. Anda bisa didenda hingga Rp 1 juta.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Penetapan denda itu berdasarkan UU No 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalu lintas dan Angkutan Umum Pasal 281 yang berisi "Setiap pengendara kendaraan bermotor yang tidak memiliki SIM dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 4 (empat) bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 1 juta".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Itu denda maksimal. Ketentuan berapa pelanggar harus membayar denda itu kan nanti sesuai dengan sidangnya. Sebagai warga negara yang sadar hukum, sudah seharusnya mematuhi hukum. SIM diberikan kepada pengendara bukan hanya sebagai sertifikat dia bisa mengemudi. SIM dibuat agar pengendara punya pengetahuan berlalu lintas," kata Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Chryshnanda Dwilaksana kepada detikcom, Rabu (28/10/2009).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sejumlah pasal lain yang mengatur ketentuan berlalu lintas memberikan denda yang tidak sedikit. Dalam UU baru tersebut, sanksi denda minimal Rp 250 ribu dikenakan kepada setiap pelanggar. Berikut sejumlah sanksi denda dalam UU yang baru disahkan 22 Juni lalu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 278, setiap pengendara mobil yang tidak dilengkapi dengan perlengkapan berupa ban cadangan, segitiga pengaman, dongkrak, pembuka roda, dan peralatan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 1 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 250 ribu (Pasal 278).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 288, setiap pengendara kendaraan bermotor yang tidak dipasangi Tanda Nomor Kendaraan dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 2 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 500 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 288 ayat (2), setiap pengendara kendaraan bermotor yang memiliki SIM namun tidak dapat menunjukkannya saat razia dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 1 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 250 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 285 ayat (1), setiap pengendara sepeda motor yang tidak dilengkapi kelayakan kendaraan seperti spion, lampu utama, lampu rem, klakson, pengukur kecepatan, dan knalpot dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 1 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 250 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 285 ayat (2), setiap pengendara mobil yang tak dilengkapi kelayakan kendaraan seperti spion, klakson, lampu utama, lampu mundur, lampu rem, kaca depan, bumper, penghapus kaca dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 2 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 500 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 287 ayat (1), setiap pengendara yang melanggar rambu lalu lintas dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 2 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 500 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 287 ayat (5), setiap pengendara yang melanggar aturan batas kecepatan paling tinggi atau paling rendah dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 2 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 500 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 288 ayat (1), setiap pengendara yang tidak memiliki Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan atau STNK dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 2 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 500 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 289, setiap pengemudi atau penumpang yang duduk di samping pengemudi mobil tidak mengenakan sabuk keselamatan dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 1 bulan atau denda paling banyak Rp 250 ribu.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pasal 294, setiap orang yang mengemudikan kendaraan bermotor yang akan berbelok atau berbalik arah tanpa memberikan isyarat dengan lampu penunjuk arah atau isyarat tangan dipidana dengan pidana kurungan paling lama 1 (satu) bulan penjara atau denda paling banyak Rp 250 ribu.
